The Netherlee and Stamperland Church Choir has a long tradition of singing as part of worship. Directed by Steven Crawford, the choir meets weekly on Thursdays from September to May and performs at Sunday services. They enjoy a wide variety of sacred music, from Bach to John Rutter. During major church festivals like Christmas and Easter, additional volunteers join the choir for special performances. The choir also occasionally performs large choral works like “Stainer’s Crucifixion” and “Faure’s Requiem.” Rehearsals are fun, with a close bond between members, making it a rewarding experience. Social events, such as a Christmas dinner and annual golf tournament, add to the enjoyment. New members are always welcome to join, whether regularly or for special events.

Interested individuals can contact the organist at sjcrawford@sky.com to get involved.

As Martin Luther said, “As long as we live, there is never enough singing!”
